Brief History
We have been cold-drawing steel wire and bar for more than 122 years. Precision Kidd makes both standard and custom special shapes at two manufacturing facilities located in Aliquippa, PA and Clinton, PA. Our quality system has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 - ANSI/ISO/ASQ-Q9001-2000 Certificate of Registration.
PK and its force of highly talented employees have built an outstanding reputation for specializing in the manufacturing of High Quality, Close Tolerance, Cold Drawn Steel Bars and Wire in Standard Sections and Customer Designed/Special Shapes & Profiles. These products are manufactured in a wide variety of steels: Carbon, Alloy, Free Machining, Leaded, Tool Steels and Stainless Steels. At PK, Custom Engineered Process Designs, Extensive Experience (over 1400 man years) and Cutting Edge Technology have been combined in a culture that is wililng to Accept Challenges and strives for Continuous Improvement.
Historic Milestones

Kidd Steel Wire Company is founded in
Harmarville, PA. |
| 1902 |
New plant opens in Aliquippa, PA after
fire destroys the old plant, which had been located in
McKees Rocks, PA. |
| 1966 |
Business is acquired by Precision Industries
and re-named Precision-Kidd. |
| 1978 |
Second production facility opens in Clinton,
PA. |
| 1992 |
Precision Kidd Steel Co., Inc. is incorporated
as a stand-alone entity. Precision Kidd Employees Union
and PK sign an on-going contract in perpetuity. |

QS 9000 Certificate of Registration.
